Turner Bros. Ranked 16th Largest Crane-Owning Company by American Crane & Transport Magazine

American Crane & Transport magazine has ranked Turner Bros., LLC #16 on the ACT100 list of the 2011 Top 100 Largest Crane-Owning Companies in North America based on fleet size and capacity. Turner Bros has 59 mobile cranes and 21 crawler cranes with a combined available capacity of 19,710 tons. The largest cranes in the fleet are the Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 and the Liebherr LTR 11200, each with a 1,330 ton capacity.

Turner Bros. Earns Second Consecutive LyondellBasell Goal Zero Safety Performance Award
Turner Bros. was recognized by LyondellBasell for achieving Goal Zero Safety Performance in 2010. Goal Zero is a LyondellBasell expectation that all employees and contractors have zero injuries, zero incidents, zero non-compliance with government regulations, zero product defects and zero mistakes. Turner Bros. was the only crane and rigging company to receive this honor for 2010 and one of only twelve contractors to receive it two years in a row. Joe Lind, Vice President Crane & Rigging, and Terry Robbins, Turner Bros. Safety Manager, accepted the award on behalf of Turner Bros. at the LyondellBasell Goal Zero Safety Conference held on April 13, 2011.

The Windpower 2011 Conference & Exhibition is organized by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) and is designed to bring wind professionals together to learn about wind issues, technology and policy. David Cowley, Executive Vice President, Named to SC&RA Governing Board
We are proud to announce that David Cowley, Executive Vice President, was named to the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) Governing Committee for the Crane & Rigging Group. This committee reports to the SC&RA Board of Directors. The mission of the committee is to identify issues and recommend actions to benefit members with an interest in Crane and Rigging related subjects; and govern the actions of the Crane & Rigging Group. David has been with Turner Bros. for 18 years and has over 30 years experience in the Heavy Lift industry.

Transportation #26 on the ACTTRANSPORT50 list of the 2010 Top 50 Largest Heavy and Specialized transport companies in North America based on fleet size and capacity. Turner Bros has 5,100 tons of available transportation capacity and a fleet of 295 vehicles in its fleet.

Siemens Grand Opening Ceremony

Turner Bros. was invited to participate in the Grand Opening celebration of Siemens new Wind Turbine Nacelle Assembly Facility in Hutchinson, Kansas on December 3, 2010. This is Siemens first facility in North America for manufacturing wind turbine nacelles and hubs. Siemens management, including Eric Spiegel, Siemens President & CEO as well as Governor-elect Sam Brownback spoke at the ceremony. Turner Bros. was invited to transport the first nacelle out of the complex and proudly provided a 19-axle modular trailer and personnel for the ceremony. Turner Bros. has safely transported over 775 Siemens nacelles to 19 different wind farms from various ports around the country.
